In his July 2001 PBS column David Thornburg draws a parallel between online collaboration and jamming with the band. Drawing on the ideas put forth in the first half of his article, we will try to hold a jam session and orchestrate a way to get students (and teachers) to understand what it means to use PowerPoint as a curricular tool, rather than as the curriculum itself.
After you read or listen to David's article, spend some time examining the 'music' that we will use as themes in our jam session(s). Spend about 10-15 minutes browsing through as many of the sites as you can. Make note of one or two that you want to revisit. Then take another 5-10 minutes to examine those sites.
