Introduction
This Knowledge Hunt has been designed for student teachers who are participating in the LTUB - BSSC partnership program.
The aim of this activity is to highlight key internet sites which are available to support teachers and to model a form of online learning which can be used in the classroom.
Questions
- Visit sofweb and find four areas that are of interest to you.
- The Victorian Education Channel provides access to a range of educational resources for the classroom. Conduct a search on a topic you could be teaching as part of your teaching practicum this year.
- What does VELS stand for? Which year levels does it provide curriculum support for?
- How much will you be paid in your first year of teaching?
- Identify 3 resources located at the VCAA - VCE site.
- Identify three tasks to consider doing before the school year commences.
- Conduct a filamentality search and find some online learning activities you could use in a classroom.
- How frequently are vacancies advertised and where are they advertised?
- What is VCAA? Identify 3 reasons for why you may access their webpage.
- How might the BSSC PoLT site support you in your teaching?
- How many Flagship Strategies are there in the Blueprint? Which one is of most importance to you?
